Solution

"Rationalizing the denominator" is when we move a root (like a square root or cube root) from the bottom of a fraction to the top.
For Example: The below shown example can be rationalized
$\frac{1}{3 - \sqrt{2}}$
$\frac{1}{3 - \sqrt{2}} \times \frac{3 + \sqrt{2}}{3 + \sqrt{2}} = \frac{3 + \sqrt{2}}{3^{2} - (\sqrt{2})^{2}} = \frac{3 + \sqrt{2}}{7}$ .
