Non cooperation movement Civil Disobedience movement
a. Under this movement, people refused to cooperate with the British and indulged in boycotting . Under this people were asked to defy Salt law, peasants refused to pay revenue and chawkidari taxes.
b. It was carried out by peaceful demonstrations and picketing foreign shops The main aim was the violation of laws, it was carried out by breaking salt laws and forest laws .
c. Non-cooperation movement was launched in order to unify Hindus and Muslims and to attain swaraj Civil disobedience movement was launched basically to attain purna swaraj and because the 11 demands of congress that were denied to them.
d. The movement was called off because of chauri chaura incident. The movement was called off due to arrest of congress leaders, followed by Irwin pact.
