Solution
Chemical waste from factories is sometimes dumped into river and lake, or directly into the ground. Pesticides (a chemical that kills insects) applied to farmland either surface water and groundwater, often large quantities, which led to pollution.
To reduce water pollution, use natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda in place of toxic chemicals like bleach and ammonia. Additionally, avoid using pesticides and herbicides in order to prevent groundwater contamination.
