Dear Student,
In Africa, due to the colonisation of the British. The whites dominated and suppressed the Blacks. For instance, 80% of the Land was allocated to British, marriage between whites and blacks were prohibited etc. In response to this, the blacks resisted in peaceful and non-violent methods for many years. Eventually under the leadership of Nelson Mandela the movement was catapulted to another level. He was jailed 27 years. This gained the attention of international community. Economic sanctions were levied on Africa. After many round of negotiations the whites withdrew. Thus, Africa was declared free of any domination or discrimination on racial lines.
