Question

How will an organism be benefitted if it reproduces through spores? Give example.

Open in App
Solution

When the spore case (also called sporangium) bursts, the spores spread into the air. These air-borne spores land on food or soil, and under favorable conditions like damp and warm conditions, they germinate and produce new individuals. Thus, the organism will be benefitted if it reproduces through spore formation.

Example: Bacteria and non-flowering plants such as ferns and mosses reproduce by the method of spore formation.
