How will you charge a glass rod by the method of friction?
In the method of friction, an object is rubbed over another object, the electrons get transferred from one object to another. This transfer of electrons takes place due to friction between the two objects. The object that transfers electrons loses negative charge (electrons) and the object that accepts electrons gains a negative charge (electrons). When silk cloth is rubbed with the glass rod. electrons will flow from glass rod to silk clothes. Then silk cloth will have a negative charge and glass rod will have a positive charge.
