The differences between a salamander and lizard are :-
- Salamanders are amphibious with moist skin while lizards are terrestrial and have rough skin.
- Salamanders have no scales and have 4 fingers and 5 toes whereas lizards have scales and have 5 fingers and 5 toes.
- Salamanders have no claws and ear openings. They have some parotid glands which are present behind their ears. On the other hand, lizards have claws and ear openings. They have no parotid glands.
