  2. If the name ends with ‘ane’, it will be a hydrocarbon that is saturated which means contain only single bonds. For example, Ethane (CH3-CH3)
  3. If the name ends with ‘ene’, it will be a hydrocarbon that is unsaturated with a double bond present in any of the adjacent atoms. For example, Ethene (CH2=CH2)
  4. If the name ends with 'yne', it will be a hydrocarbon that is unsaturated with a triple bond present in any of the adjacent atoms. For example, Ethyne (CHCH)
