Solution
To identify the components present in a sample of ink chromatography technique is used.
The ink contains different colored components.
When a drop of ink is applied to the chromatographic paper we can see different spots of different colored components of ink at different heights.
The most soluble colored component in water acquires the highest position, the less soluble in water will acquire the middle position, and the least soluble in water acquire the lowest position.
