How will you obtain reasonably pure samples of iron fillings, common salt, and, Sulphur from their mixture?

Method of separation - Magnetic separation, Evaporation, and FIltration.

• At first, the magnet is moved through this mixture, and iron filings cling to it and separate. The only things left in the mixture are Common salt and Sulphur.
• Now add some water into the mixture, as common salt is soluble in water. Hence, on filtration, Sulphur will remain behind as a residue, and salt solution can be obtained as filtrate.
• Now, this Sulphur powder is sun-dried to obtain solid Sulphur.
• The salt solution thus obtained is put into a china dish and heated till all the water evaporates. This is How salt can be obtained by the method of evaporation.
