Take 2 glass jars: Jar A and Jar B
Jar A is covered with a lid while Jar B does not contain lid.
Place a candle in both jars. We can observe that the candle in Jar A extinguishes.
Whereas, In glass jar B the candle remains lit for a longer time. This is because Jar B contains oxygen gas which is necessary for combustion of the candle
Hence, it is proved that air is a supporter of combustion.
