How will you separate sugar and chalk powder?

A mixture of sugar and chalk powder would be separated by mixing them in water.
Sugar is soluble in water, whereas chalk powder is not. Chalk powder can be obtained from the mixture by filtration wherein chalk powder stays on the filter paper as residue and sugar solution is filtered out. Sugar can be separated from water by evaporation. When the solution becomes concentrated, the sugar gets crystallized on cooling the solution.
