Separation of the iron filings from sugar and wheat :

• It can be done by the method of magnetic separation.
• Iron filings being magnetic in nature gets attracted to the magnet and are separated from both sugar and wheat.

Separation of sugar from wheat :

• Sugar is put in water and it gets dissolved in the water (solvent extraction) and it is thus separated from wheat.

Obtaining sugar from sugar solution :

• The pure sugar crystals are obtained by crystallisation process.
• The pure sugar crystals are obtained when the water molecules get evaporated by heating.
