Solution

Dear Student

Carbon disulphide, benzene and water are immiscible liquids. So they are separated by using separating funnel.

When the mixture of carbon disulphide, benzene and water is put in a separating funnel, after putting the funnel to rest for some time, the mixture gets separated into three different layers.
Carbon disulphide being heavier than water forms the bottom layer, water forms the middle layer and benzene being the lightest forms the top layer.
On opening the stop-cock, carbon disulphide will run out first followded by water and then benzene. We get them separately into 3 different beakers one by one.
