Solution

Aim - To prove air contains water vapour.

Requirement - a glass container, ice-cold water.

Theory - the air contains water vapour that condenses into water droplets when it comes in contact with a cool surface.

Procedure -

  1. Take a glass container and fill it with ice-cold water.
  2. Now let the container be undisturbed for some time.

Observation - Small water droplets are formed on the outside surface of the container.

Result - The formation of water droplets on the surface of the glass container proves the presence of water vapour in the air.
