Solution
Light scattering experiment can be used to determine whether a given solution is colloidal solution.
The given solution is taken in a beaker.
Then, a strong beam of light is allowed to fall on the solution from one side of the beaker in a dark room.
If the solution scatters any beam of light that falls directly onto it in a direction different from the direction from which the light falls, this indicates that the solution is colloidal.
Because , a colloidal solution has larger particles which by remaining in suspension instead of settling at the bottom scatter light randomly.
