a) Buna -S rubber
It is obtained by the polymerization of butadiene and styrene in presence of sodium metal.

$N a \to (- C H_{2} - C H = C H - C H_{2} - C H - C H_{2} | C_{6} H_{5} b u n a - S)_{n}$
Uses :
Buna-S is extremely resistant toward wear and tear and used for the manufacture of tyres, rubber tubes, and other mechanical rubber goods.

b) Nylon- $6, 6$
It is obtained by condensing adipic- acid with hexamethlylene diamine with the elimination of water molecule.
