Question

How would the strength of magnetic field due to current, carrying loop affected if :- a) radius of the loop is reduced to half its original value? b) strength of current through the loop is doubled?

Solution

Dear Student

Biot Savrat Law affects the strength of magnetic field induced due to current flowing through the loop.

B equals fraction numerator mu subscript o N I over denominator 2 R end fraction

(1)When the loop’s radius is decreased as magnetic field strength formula is inversely proportional to radius of the loop, becomes double of the magnetic field strength.

(2) When the loop’s current is doubled as the magnetic field strength formula is directly proportional to current flowing in to the loop, becomes double of the magnetic field strength.
