Question

How would the strength of magnetic field due to current, carrying loop be affected if
(a) Radius of the loop is reduced to half its original value ?
(b) Strength of current through the loop is doubled ?

Solution

Dear student,
A wire carrying electric current will produce a magnetic field around the wire. Magnetic field intensity is directly proportional to current and inversely proportional to the radius of the coil.
a) If radius of the loop is reduced to half of its original value then magnetic field becomes two times.
b) If strength of current through the loop is doubled then magnetic field also becomes double of its original value.
