Question

How would you change Cu2+ ion to Cu?

Open in App
Solution

There is a change of Cu2+ ion to Cu by reacting copper (II) salt with a more reactive metal as in reactivity series in an aqueous solution.

When copper salt reacts with iron then copper is displaced by iron and forms the Cu2+ ion to Cu

Reaction:

Fe(s)+CuSO4(aq)FeSO4(aq)+Cu(s)(coppersulphate)(ironsulphate)
