How would you prepare a saturated solution of sodium chloride in water at 30oC. What will happen if this solution is cooled at 10oC?

Saturated solution:

A solution in which no more solute can be dissolved at a given temperature is known as a saturated solution.

Preparation of saturated solution:

Step 1: Take 100gm of distilled water.

Step 2: Add 1gm of NaCl or common salt.

Step 3: Keep stirring and adding the solute until no more solute dissolves in it.

On cooling at 10oC:

When the solution is cooled at 10oC, some of its dissolved solutes will get separated in the form of crystals.
