Solution

Chemical change:-

  • During a change if the chemical compositions of a substances changes, then that change is called a chemical change.
  • This result in the breaking or formation of bonds at an atomic level.
  • An example of such a type of change is the setting of curd.

Setting of curd is a chemical change:-

  • Due to the occurrence of a new substance(Lactic acid) which is formed, the setting of curd is a chemical change.
  • The resulted cured now has a distinct flavour from the original substance(milk).
  • Also the milk cannot be obtained again once it is changed to curd.
  • Hence it is also an irreversible change.
