H2O2 reacts with KIO4 as follows,

K+7IO4+H2O2K+5IO3+H2O+O2

In the reaction of KIO4 with H2O2, the oxidation state of I varies from +7 to +5, i.e., oxidation state decreases. Thus KIO4 gets reduced and hence, H2O2 acts as a reducing agent.

H2O2 reacts with NH2OH as follows:

21NH2OH+4H2O2+3N2O3+7H2O

In this reaction, the oxidation state of N varies from 1 to +3 i.e., oxidation state increases and hence H2O2 acts as an oxidising agent.
