Salmonella typhi
Typhoid is a water borne disease caused by Salmonella typhi. Stool of an infected person contains these lively bacteria which, through different means enters the farms or source of water like ponds or rivers etc., causing infection. It is a monsoon disease as the contaminated matter is washed away rapidly by water.
