I am not able to understand additive inverse questions . I can understand that the additive inverse of -7 is +7 . I am not able to understand where I am supposed to use additive inverse in questions .

Additive inverse of a number is defined such that when a number is added with its additive inverse gives sum as 0.

Let additive inverse of a number = x

=> 7 + x = 0
=> x = -7

-7 is the additive inverse of 7.

We need to use the properties of additive inverse only when you reach class 12th.
