Solution

The correct option is D Punjab
Irrigation in India includes a network of major and minor canals from Indian rivers, groundwater, well-based systems, tanks, etc. About 2/3rd of the cultivated land in India is dependent on the monsoons. Punjab has the most amount of cultivable land being irrigated. It has the Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej rivers, which help most of the farmers with their irrigation needs. After Punjab, Haryana comes second with 87.6% of irrigated land. Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh follow, in that order.
