1. The organization in question here is the United Nations Organisation. It came into existence on 24th October 1945. It was originally founded by 51 countries. Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin are the big three who played a very important role in the establishment of the UN.
2. After the first World War, the League of Nations was formed as a measure to avoid future wars. However, it failed to prevent World War II.World War II was the deadliest war in the history of mankind. Atomic weapons were used for the first time and an estimated total of 70–85 million people died. No country remained untouched from its disastrous effects.After the toll of WW II and the failure of the League of Nations, a need was felt by many countries for setting up a powerful organization where they could discuss the means of protecting mankind from future wars.The United Nations Organisation was formed with this very ambition to establish peace and security and prevent a war on a global scale again.
3. The United Nation’s flag is rectangular with blue background and a white emblem in the center. The emblem is the polar view of the world map with two olive branches surrounding it. The emblem represents the countries of the world, and the twin olive branches around it, denote peace.
