  • During the processes of electrolysis, the ionic substances are decomposes into simple substances when we pass an electric current through them. then electrolysis process is used to extract and purify the metals.
  • Cupper is also purified by the method of electrolysis. When we pass the electricity through the solutions containing copper compounds, The anode (positive electrode) is made from impure copper and the cathode (negative electrode) is made from pure copper
