(i) Rectification is the conversion of an alternating current to direct current.

(ii) The circuit diagram of a full-wave rectifier is as shown below.
(iii) In the given energy band diagram, the impurity energy level is closer to conduction level. Hence it is easy for electrons to jump to conduction band, and the doping must be n-type. Hence it is a n-type semiconductor.
