We have,
$x^{2} + 6 x + 9 = x^{2} + 2.3. x + 3^{2}$
$= (x + 3)^{2}$ $[∵ a^{2} + 2 a b + b^{2} = (a + b)^{2}]$
= (x + 3)(x + 3)
