Total number of apples = 14

$\text{Number of apples that were spoilt =}14\times \frac{2}{7}=4\text{apples.}$
Now, no. of apples left = 10 apples

Number of apples left, after selling
some = $10\times \frac{1}{5}=2$ apples.

Half of the 2 apples I gave to my friend, hence half of them left.

$\therefore \text{The number of apples left =}2\times \frac{1}{2}=1\text{apple.}$

Therefore, only 1 apple is left with me now.
