Solution

Let O,T,F be the number of Rs. 1, Rs. 2, Rs. 5 coins.

Given that,
T=3F .......(1)
O+T+F=160 .........(2)

Substitute (1) in (2) we get,

O+3F+F=160
O+4F=160
O=1604F .....(3)

Also,
O+2T+5F=300

Substitute the values from (1) and (3) in the above equation,
1604F+2(3F)+5F=300
7F=140
F=20

Thus,
T=3F
T=3×20
T=60

And,
O=1604(20)
O=80

So, there are 80 coins of Rs. 1, 60 coins of Rs. 2 and 20 coins of Rs. 5.
