I have a tumbler. What shape do I see if I look at the tumbler from its left or right side? What shape do I see if I look at the tumbler from the top? Discuss briefly about both these

The side view of the tumbler is shown in the above diagram. We can see that the figure is a simple closed curve made up of only line segments. So it is a polygon. Since it has 4 sides, it is a quadrilateral.

In quadrilateral, we can that 2 sides AB and CD are parallel, but other 2 sides are not. Hence, the figure is a trapezium.

When a tumbler is looked at from top, the above figure is visible. This figure is also a simple closed curve. But it is not made of any line segments. So, it is not a polygon. It is figure known as circle.
