Solution

Potato ( Solanum tuberosum) and Brinjal ( Solanum melongena) are different species of same genus. Even though two species of the same genera inter breed and produces fertile offspring.Naturally the solanum species does not hybridize. Most of the members are self pollinating due its sticky nature of the pollen so will not be able to travel long distance. The anther opens by a small apical pore. Potato do not bear seeds instead they propagate vegetatively.
