Solution

(i) Ammonia is highly soluble in water.
(ii) Liquid ammonia is a good conductor of electricity. This arises due to the presence of hydroxide ions. In addition, liquor ammonia can cause a change in the colour of indicators such as litmus and phenolphthalein (methyl orange) due to the presence of hydroxide ions.
(iii) Neutralisation of acids using ammonia can be used to prepare ammonium salts.
