(i) Identify the set of triangles with equal area from the figure given below:

(ii) What will be the Ar( BDG), if Ar(CDG) is 27 sq.cm.

(i)


In the figure above, all the triangles lie between the same set of parallel lines.

The areas of triangles between 2 parallel lines, and having the same base will be equal.

DG is the base for the triangles, ADG, BDG and CDG.

The areas of the above triangles, ADG, BDG and CDG are equal, as they have the same common base, DG, and their height is the same, which is the distance between the two parallel lines.

(ii) As we can see that BDG and CDG are in between two parallel lines with a common base, so their areas will be the same.

A(BDG)=A(CDG)=27 sq.cm.
