If 25 meters of cloth costs Rs. 337.50, then
What will be the cost of 40 metres of the same type of cloth?

Answer 1

According to the question,
$\because$ 25 m of cloth cost = Rs. 337.50
$\therefore$ 1 m of cloth cost = $\frac{337.50}{25}$
Cost of 40 m of the same type of cloth $=\frac{337.50}{25}\times 40=\frac{13500}{25}=540$
