An embryo consists of three important parts: Cotyledons, Radicles, and Plumule. (A) Radicle often called the embryonic root, gives rise to the root of a plant on germination. (B) Cotyledons are often fleshy and contain the reserve food material. (C) Plumule is present above the radical and gives rise to the shoot of a plant on germination.
Part 2:
Cotyledons contain the reserve food material which is utilized during the early period of germination.
Part 3:
It is the dicot seed as it contains two cotyledons. In most dicot seed food is stored in the cotyledons.
