Solution

(i) It is damped oscillation

(ii) A block attach to the spring, and the system placed horizontally on rough surface. Giving a small amplitude will start oscillation but amplitude gradually reduce to zero.

(iii) In damped motion energy of system decreases with time due to which amplitude reduce with time

(iv) After some amplitude gradually reduce to zero, and oscillation stop.
