(i) Name two important processes that occur during the formation of a pn junction.
(ii) Draw the circuit diagram of a full wave rectifier along with the input and output waveforms. Briefly explain how the output voltage/current is unidirectional.

i) The following two important processes occur during formation of pn junction -
a) diffusion of charge b) p and n type material join together and make potential barrier at the junction.
ii) The circuit diagram as well as the input and output waveform is shown in figure.
A full wave bridge rectifier with four diodes is used to get continuous, unidirectional but pulsating voltage or current.
