Solution

(i) Due to continuous exercise her muscles suffered enormous fatigue. This was entirely due to the accumulation of lactic acid within muscles. Lactic acid accumulation leads to painful cramps .

(ii) Her breathing rate changes from normal to high as during exercise, her body muscle requires more oxygen for the ATP production, than the normal value, hence her breathing becomes more rapid in order to take most oxygen from the atmosphere.
