The adjoining figure represents a rectangular lawn with a circular flower bed in the middle. Find:

The area of the whole land.

Answer 1

Length of rectangular lawn = 10 m
Breadth of the rectangular lawn = 5 m
And radius of the circular flower bed = 2 m
$\therefore$ Area of the whole land = length $\times$ breadth
$=10\times 5=50m^2$
