$=(98\frac{3}{4}-40\frac{2}{3})$

$=(\frac{395}{4}-\frac{122}{3})$

$=\left(\frac{1185-488}{12}\right)$

$=\frac{697}{12}$

$=58\frac{1}{12}km$
