I went to Mcdonald's recently. The medium french fries were priced at Rs 83 and the large french fries were priced at Rs 101 which was proportionately much lower. What could be the reason?
McDonald's want their customers to opt for large french fries rather than medium french fries
People going to Mcdonald's usually like to have fries with their meal. If only large fries are sold, people might be reluctant to buy. If medium fries are priced lower, people might usually opt for it, reducing their sales. By adjusting the prices, the customers are compelled to buy the large fries because it seems more attractive compared to medium fries.
