i) The two types of spherical mirrors are convex and concave mirror. A convex mirror has its reflecting surface curved outwards whereas, a concave mirror has its reflecting surface curved inwards.

ii) A convex mirror is used as a rear view mirror in vehicles. It has a larger field of view i.e it can capture a larger part of the surrounding and this property makes it apt to be used as a rear view mirror in vehicles.
