What will happen to the volume of the cube, if its edge is tripled?

Answer 1

Let each side of the cube be a, then its volume $=a^3$ [$\because$ volume of a cube $=(side{)}^3$]
If side became triple, then the new side will be $3a$
$\therefore$, Volume will be $=(3a{)}^3=27a^3$
Hence, new volume of the cube will be 27 times of original volume of the cube.
