I. Air is a mixture of several gases, water vapour and dust particles. It mainly consists of gases namely nitrogen (78%), oxygen (21%), argon (0.9%), carbon dioxide (0.03%) and water vapour. The composition of air is as follows:

II. When you heat water to boiling firstly bubbles are seen on the walls of the pan. These bubbles are formed due to the release of dissolved gases in water. This proves that air is dissolved in water.
