b) Hoffman bromamide reaction involves treatment of an amide with bromine in aqueous/ethanelic solution of sodium hydroxide, due to which degradation of amine takes place leading to the formation of primary amine.
The primary amine formed contains one carbon less the number of carbon atoms in amide.
