A is nitrogen (the largest component of air), B is ammonia because when A as nitrogen heated with H2 in 1:3 ratio in the presence of catalyst (Fe) gives a gas B or ammonia.
N2+3H22NH3, C is nitrogen dioxide because on heating with O2, nitrogen and oxygen forms nitrogen oxide as it gives an oxide C that is nitrogen oxide. And if this oxide is passed into water in the presence of air it gives an acid D that is nitric acid which acts as a strong oxidising agent.
