Solution

i) Soda water is a solution of carbon dioxide (solute) and water (solvent). Every sip of soda water tastes the same because components are uniformly distributed and they cannot be distinguished. This implies that soda water is a homogeneous mixture.

ii) If we consider the case of air from a clean place, then it will be a mixture of various gases like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc. It has a uniform composition of these gases throughout, and the constituent gases cannot be distinguished from one another. Hence, air is a homogeneous mixture.

iii) Fruit salad is a mixture of various fruits. The pieces of fruits are non-uniformly distributed and can be easily distinguished. Therefore, fruit salad is a heterogeneous mixture.
